Dear Parishioners,
We do not know precisely the year, the day and the hour when Jesus was born. But, it is an event in history and it is described beautifully by the Evangelist Luke, "In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, when Pontius Pilate was Governor of Judea, and Herod was tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of the region of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias was tetrarch of Abilene, during the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John the son of Zachariah in the desert."
God really acted in history in the person of Jesus. God continues to act in history through the people called by him. He acts even today, through each one of us when we become his hands and his voice. May our hearts and minds be open and attuned to God, so the He can act through us to complete the redemptive work that he began in Jesus Christ.
December 8 is the feast of the Immaculate Conception. The Masses at St. Denis are at 8:00 am and 5:30 pm and the Masses at OLW are at 7:30 am and 7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 8.
Yours Sincerely,
Fr. Jose Shaji, Pastor
