Dear Parishioners,
Finally it is warming up and it looks like summer. I hope you are all having a good summer.
I would like to welcome Msgr. Jose Rodriguez to our communities at Our Lady of the Wayside and St. Denis. I wish that he has a wonderful retirement. He has served the Archdiocese of San Francisco for more than 40 years as a priest. He is currently staying at St. Denis Rectory. The Rectory at Our Lady of the Wayside requires some work before Msgr. Jose can move in. The first floor needs new carpets and a new paint job. As soon as that is completed he will make his residence at OLW.
I have known Msgr. Rodriguez for about seven years. My first assignment in the Archdiocese as a priest was with him at St. John the Evangelist Church in San Francisco. He was my Pastor. He is a wonderful Priest and Pastor. I’m sure that his presence and ministry at OLW will be a blessing to me and to the two communities. I wish him all the best!
We will resume the weekday Masses at OLW. In the coming week the weekday Masses will be on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
This is the 4th of July weekend and let me wish you all a Happy Independence Day. May we celebrate the day with our family and friends knowing how blessed we are by God as individuals, families and as a nation. God bless America!
