Dear Parishioners,
Last week I took part in the ongoing study days for the clergy of the Archdiocese. During those five days I tried to juggle my work in the office and take part in the different sessions that were offered. I realized that it was too hectic and that I could not do justice to both. From next time I will be a full time participant and not commute back and forth. The sessions were around forming an intentional Presbyterate; a community of brother priests who are able to meet, interact and support one another. This is a good thing because priests in general tend to concentrate on their work or parishes and leave very little time for one another.
Fr. Tom Moran will be moving to his new residence at St. Charles Church in San Carlos on Tuesday, June 29. I am very grateful to Fr. Tom Moran for his ministry to the community of Our Lady of the Wayside and St. Denis and wish him all the best to his ministry at St. Charles. His address is 880 Tamarack Ave., San Carlos, CA 94070. I would like to welcome Msgr. Jose Rodriguez to Our Lady of the Wayside and St. Denis communities. He is currently the Pastor of St. John the Evangelist Church in San Francisco and will retire from active ministry on June 30, 2010. Msgr. Jose Rodriguez will be the new resident priest at OLW from July 1, 2010.He will be celebrating the weekend masses at Our Lady of the Wayside on Saturday, July 3 and Sunday July 4. There will be no weekday masses this week. I wish him all the very best!
